Yeah, you're definitely the nosy type, huh? I know, I know, everyone can see the outside of state prisons, but let’s be real—so many people are just dying to know what’s going on inside! Of course, they do not allow us to bring our cell phones or cameras into secured areas, but don’t worry, I’ve managed to grab a few pictures of different housing units I’ve come across during my glamorous career as a correctional nurse.
Not all these photos are taken from a NJDOC prison, but honestly, they look nearly identical. The images provided herein were sourced through a Google search and were not personally taken by me. These photos are publicly accessible and available to anyone.
Veronica Dailey is a correctional nurse with over eight years of experience working on the front lines of inmate healthcare. She’s passionate about sharing real stories, breaking down stigma, and giving readers an honest look into the world of correctional nursing. Through her blog, Veronica combines her love of writing with her commitment to truth-telling—offering a voice from inside the walls that often go unheard. When she's not working or writing, she's dreaming about turning her experiences into a book someday.
